Founded in 1996 by the state government of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Atlantic Academy is a state- and privately funded, non-profit, and non-partisan organization whose goal is to foster transatlantic relations by educating the public about US American politics and society.

Die Atlantische Akademie ist eine von der rheinland-pfälzischen Landesregierung im Jahre 1996 gegründete, von einem überparteilichen Verein getragene und mit Landesmitteln geförderte, gemeinnützige Institution, die sich die Pflege der transatlantischen Beziehungen und die umfassende Information über Politik und Gesellschaft der USA zum Ziel gesetzt hat.
